Charge overnight in hours, not days
A 7kW dedicated circuit typically adds 25–30 miles of range per hour, a full charge while you sleep, versus 2+ days on a 3-pin.
Home and workplace Ohme chargers, installed by NAPIT-accredited EV specialists. Fixed-price written quotes for single-charger domestic through to multi-circuit commercial arrays.
Ohme approved · NAPIT EV accredited · fully insured · free site survey
Straight explanation, no jargon padding, so you can decide whether it's the right call before you even ring us.
Charging a modern EV off an unrated socket or via a DIY install is one of the fastest ways we see kitchens and garages catch fire. The load is high, sustained and overnight, exactly the profile a domestic ring final circuit isn't designed for.
The same discipline we run on a single-socket call-out and a full commercial fit-out. Predictable, documented, tidy.
Free on-site survey. We look at the existing installation, the space and the outcome you need, no pressure, no obligation.
We scope the work, agree the spec in plain English and give you a fixed-price written quote with no hidden extras.
We turn up when we say we will, protect the space with dust sheets and keep disruption to your day to a minimum.
Every circuit is tested to BS 7671 (18th Edition). Nothing gets signed off until the readings are right.
You get NAPIT-backed certification, a tidy handover and a clear explanation of what's been done and why.
A 7kW dedicated circuit typically adds 25–30 miles of range per hour, a full charge while you sleep, versus 2+ days on a 3-pin.
Dedicated cable, correct protection and manufacturer-approved earthing remove the sustained-load fire risk.
Overnight home charging on an EV tariff is a fraction of the cost of a public rapid charger, and load-managed setups keep you inside your supply capacity.
Charge on the cheapest half-hour slots automatically, we set the app up with you on handover.
We size cable and protection with headroom, so upgrading to a bigger battery or a second vehicle later is a small job, not a rewire.
You get NAPIT certification for building control and the manufacturer warranty is kept intact because the install is notified.

We're Ohme-accredited and install the full Ohme range, Home Pro, ePod and commercial variants, plus we can advise on tethered vs untethered options depending on your parking layout. Ohme units integrate directly with intelligent tariffs like Octopus Intelligent Go, which means the charger, not you, decides when to pull power at the cheapest price. For workplaces, we design and install multi-charger arrays with load balancing so you don't need to upgrade the incoming supply.
We use appropriately sized SWA or twin-and-earth depending on route (external run vs internal), routed neatly through cable trunking or clipped direct where visible. Earthing on a TN-C-S supply is handled either with the charger's built-in PEN-fault protection (Ohme units are RDC-DD Type A and include this) or with a dedicated earth electrode where the supply topology requires it. We check earth loop impedance before signing anything off.
Not every consumer unit can take another 32A circuit. If you have an older split-load board without RCBO protection on every circuit, or an unfused board sat close to its rated capacity, a consumer unit upgrade is often the right first step. We assess this at the free survey, and if it's needed we'll quote it as part of the EV package rather than surprising you on the day.
Domestic installs are typically a single 7kW charger on a dedicated circuit from the consumer unit, tested and certified. Commercial installs, up to 50 circuits in the case of some depots we've worked on, need a proper load study, distribution board sizing, containment (Unistrut, tray or catenary), and often a DNO notification for the incoming supply. Every install is quoted fixed after a site survey, based on charger count, containment and any supply upgrades, so you get one number before we start.
We are not OZEV approved, so we cannot process the government EV homecharge grant on your behalf. If you specifically need a grant-assisted install, we'll tell you at the survey. Everything else, accreditation, certification, insurance, is in place. We'd rather be straight about that than mislead you into paperwork we can't file.
Still unsure? Ring us on 07491 966787 , surveys and quotes are free.
Every EV install is quoted fixed after a free site survey, single-charger domestic through to multi-circuit commercial arrays, with all materials (charger, cable, protection devices, consumer unit accessories) itemised.
A straightforward domestic install with the consumer unit in the garage next to the parking spot is typically a half-day. If we need to run cable through the loft, around the outside of the property, or upgrade the consumer unit, it usually stretches to a full day. Commercial arrays are scoped and scheduled at the survey.
Not always, many modern 18th Edition boards have spare capacity and RCBO protection ready to accept a new EV circuit. Older boards, or ones already close to their rated load, sometimes need upgrading first. We'll tell you honestly at the survey, and if an upgrade is needed we quote it as part of the same job.
Yes, we're accredited by Ohme, which means we can install their full range and register the units so the warranty stays intact. Our EV work is NAPIT-accredited too, so every install is notified and certified through the competent-persons scheme.
In most cases, no, running cable across a public pavement isn't legal without a specific licence from the local authority. If your parking is on your own driveway or in a private car park, we're fine to install. If you're borderline, ring us and we'll talk it through.
No, we are not OZEV approved, so we can't file the grant paperwork on your behalf. If OZEV eligibility is essential for you, we'll tell you at the enquiry stage rather than take the job on and disappoint you later.
Ohme units are covered by the manufacturer's warranty for the period stated at purchase, which stays valid because the install is notified. If the fault is in the fixed wiring rather than the unit, call us on 07491 966787 and we'll diagnose and fix it at our agreed call-out rate.
Yes, we install multi-charger arrays with load management, distribution board work, containment and, where needed, DNO liaison for supply upgrades. Ring us with the site details and rough number of bays and we'll arrange a free commercial survey.
