Last updated: 23 July 2026

1. About us

These terms apply to all electrical work supplied by H&H Electrical Contractors (SW) Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 16735433) of 4 Cae Mawr Avenue, Caldicot, Monmouthshire. Contact: 07491 966787 · hhelectricalsw@outlook.com.

2. Quotes and orders

Surveys and written quotes are provided free of charge. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. A quote becomes a booked job once you accept it in writing (email or message) and, where applicable, materials are ordered.

3. Pricing and call-outs

  • Small works are charged as call-out plus materials at our agreed rate, confirmed before we come out.
  • Out-of-hours emergency call-outs are charged at our published emergency rate, confirmed at the time of booking.
  • Materials are charged at cost unless included in a fixed-price quote.
  • Larger jobs (rewires, EV chargers, fit-outs) are quoted at a fixed price after a free survey.

Prices are exclusive of parking or congestion charges where they apply.

4. Access, safety and site conditions

You agree to provide safe access to the property and to the electrical installation. If site conditions differ materially from those quoted (for example asbestos, undisclosed alterations, buried services), we may need to re-quote or pause work.

5. Payment

Payment is by bank transfer or cash, we do not take card payments. Small works are payable on completion. Larger jobs may be invoiced in stages as set out in the quote. Invoices are payable within 7 days unless agreed otherwise in writing.

6. Certification

All work is installed, inspected and tested to BS 7671 (18th Edition). The appropriate certificate, Electrical Installation Certificate, Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate or EICR, is issued on completion. Where the work is notifiable, notification is made through our NAPIT registration.

7. Workmanship

Our workmanship is covered by our NAPIT membership and our public liability, employers' liability and professional indemnity insurance. Manufacturer warranties on supplied equipment (for example EV chargers, consumer units) are passed through to you and honoured by the manufacturer.

8. Cancellations

Consumers have the right to cancel a booking within 14 days of accepting the quote, unless you have asked us to start work sooner. Materials that have been ordered specifically for your job may be non-refundable.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
